What is Academic Coaching?
Academic Coaching is a series of conversations designed to enhance your well-being and your academic performance. Your coach will ask you questions so you can come up with your own insights and strategies!

What will I gain from Academic Coaching? Will I just get advice?
Coaching provides a relationship between students and peer coaches who are trained to listen and ask thought-provoking questions. You know yourself best! The coach's job is to give you a space to discover what you already know and identify strategies to get you where you want to be.
How long are appointments? Can I come back?
Coaching appointments last 45 minutes with an additional 5 minutes at the end to complete an exit survey. Coaching is an ongoing process with both the peer coach and the student. Students are most successful when they have at least three coaching appointments as it allows for accountability and the opportunity to see what works best and what doesn't about different strategies. Your coach will ask you during your first appointment how often you would like to meet. They will also follow-up regularly throughout the term to check-in on progress towards goals, new insights or observations, and to schedule follow-up appointments.
